Campaign For A Safe And Healthy California Campaign Ranks # 1 And Endorsed By Largest Grassroots-Funded Progressive Organization In The Nation: Our Revolution
SACRAMENTO – Today the Campaign for a Safe and Healthy California announced a major endorsement from “Our Revolution,” the largest grassroots-funded progressive organization in the country started by former Presidential candidate and United States Senator Bernie Sanders.
In a recent survey, Our Revolution members in California identified upholding the historic law preventing toxic oil drilling near schools, hospitals and neighborhoods as their top policy priority. Our Revolution will be mobilizing its 1.1 million members in the state to fight back against Big Oil’s effort to repeal the law.
“The people of California passed a law to protect our communities from the harmful effects of fossil fuel extraction, and we’re not going to allow Big Oil to overturn the will of the people in pursuit of profit,” said Joseph Geevarghese, Executive Director of Our Revolution. “That’s why we’re committed to mobilizing our 1.1 million supporters to fight back against it’s repeal.”
Our Revolution will be hosting a virtual town hall on Tuesday, October 17th, at 7 pm PT to discuss the campaign beyond fossil fuels with US Rep. Barbara Lee, US Rep.
